As the property market continues to recover we are inevitably receiving a good many enquiries about mortgage finance. What are the main reasons for seeking advice on lending?


With interest rates set to rise at some point in the future, many clients are looking to strategise their lending in advance.


  • Many clients are simply trying to save money on their existing arrangements.
  • Buy-to-Let is undergoing a revival, and this is another avenue for advice.
  • The new Government initiatives to stimulate the housing market are helping those with smaller deposits to buy a property – but how exactly do they work?


Whilst Fiduciary Partners does not deal with mortgage finance directly, we have a range of possible third parties to whom we can refer you in confidence. These cover the following areas:


·         Large mortgage lending (£1m plus) – we have access to a specialist independent broker that only deals with high value mortgages, and offers a very personalised, responsive and broad-ranging service.

·         Standard mortgage lending (i.e. up to £1m) – rather than dealing with a large, impersonal corporate we have established a working relationship with a small brokerage that from previous experience offers good, reliable service.

·         Foreign mortgage lending – if you are looking to buy that ‘Place in the Sun’ we can refer you to a specialist broker for foreign currency loans in those countries where most people are likely to buy.


We have selected firms that fit with our general ethos and who, through experience, do a good job for those whom we refer. Please feel free to contact us and we will make the introduction to the most appropriate broker.
